SEASON OF THE YEAR
We have different types of season such as summer, autumn,winter and spring .
SUMMER
●Summer (solstice)begins in December 22 or 23.
●The weather is hot,humid and dry during this season, and the temperature can rise extremely high in a certain place,as the earth tilts itself towards the sun.
●As the sun shines brightly in summer this season is suitable for farmers to prepare for cultivation and we get many seasonal fruits and vegetables.
●It has longest day and shortest night.

During summer months the Zambezi has an average of 8-10 rainy days a month, whilst during the months of June to August hardly any precipitation is received.
AUTUMN
Autumn (equinox) begins in March 20 or 21.
●Autumn is a season the duration of day decrease and the night length increases as a season progresses until winter solstice in December (northern hemisphere)and (Southern hemisphere)June.
●the temperature considered as cool.its visually captivating landscapes and the beautiful colors that brings to nature's canvas

WINTER
●WINTER (solstice)begins on June 21 or 22.
●winter is the coldest season of the the year.it can be characterized by cold wind blow,falling of snow,very low temperature,short day and long nights.

SPRING
●During spring the temperature starts to rise but it will rarely get too hot.
●Nature begins to slowly stir flowers bloom and there is a buzz in air as everyone and everything waits in restless anticipation of the coming rain.

EFFECT OF SEASONS ON PLANTS AND ANIMALS
●Some plants lose leaves in winter and others die.
●The plants start to grow again during spring and summer.
●Some animals hibernate and crawl in holes during Autumn and winter.
●Some animals become thin in winter and others change the food chain.
●Winter forces some animals to relocate to warmer areas.
